The Bois Brule is approximately 44 miles in length running from the headwaters northwards to Lake Superior. It shares the same source as the St. Croix River which flows in the opposite direction to the Mississippi River. It contains Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Steelhead, Coho Salmon and Chinook Salmon.
